About Me

I am Matt C Palmer, PhD in quantum physics from University of Sydney. I live in Sydney and teach physics. I'm semi-active in research. My research interests include:
  • Quantum reference frames in relational or quantum space scenarios:
    • The relativity principle for quantum reference frames;
    • Continuous variable QRFs for scale, position, momentum and orientation;
    • Explaining intrinsic decoherence using QRFs.
  • The conceptual basis of relativistic quantum information theory:
    • Foundation of localised qubits in curved spacetime;
    • Relativistic spin measurement;
    • Covariant representations of relativistic spin;
    • Quantum field theory basis of quantum information theory of closed timelike curves.
  • Black holes and quantum information,
  • Time (a)symmetry,
  • The problem of time.
  • The nature of time and the issue of consciousness.
